achtQuark developed and launched a wide-ranging, new website in late 2015 – www.thelanguagemagician.net – for a strategic partnership of ten partner organizations from four European countries (The United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and Spain) to support the learning and teaching of foreign languages at primary school level.
Erasmus+, the EU’s programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe, has provided the lion’s share of the funding for this important initiative. Erasmus+ itself provides opportunities for over 4 million Europeans to study, train, gain experience, and volunteer abroad.
The partnership team will employ the new website to develop a computer game called THE LANGUAGE MAGICIAN that will be fun for children, develop their language and IT-skills and provide more standardized information on their development and progression. This groundbreaking project is scheduled to run until the end of 2018.
The new website provides project partners and participants with an intranet containing a project-management system which supports their collaboration with task lists and regular updates on the development of the game, research results and conferences.
It also provides news about the project, the development of the game and its research results for an external audience.
