Your duties:
• Development, optimisation and support of web- and app-projects
• Design, realisation and maintenance of applications
• Quality-management and -control
• Technical advice vis-à-vis trends, realisation and technologies
• Optimisation of existing websites, identification of areas of improvement (technological, SEO, usability, design) and development of needs-based optimisation concepts in cooperation with team members, designers and external contractors

Your profile:
• Completed university studies or equivalent qualification
• Experienced user of frontend technology: XHTML, HTML5, CSS and good knowledge of PHP, MySQL, Javascript, HTML, XML and Apache/Linux. Knowledge of Perl and Ruby on Rails beneficial.
• Experience with content management systems such as Drupal, Joomla, WordPress etc.
• Experience with shop-systems such as xt:Commerce and Magento a plus
• Knowledge, understanding and experience with SEO
• Creative and innovative
• Well-developed teamworking-, cooperation- and communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
• Self-starter, dependable

achtQuark has designed and implemented a new website for the well-known Downhill and Super-G Alpine skier Max Rauffer. Equipped with an intuitive CMS and a new logo design, the former five-time German champion in the Downhill and Super-G events can now concentrate on his professional career following his retirement as a professional skier. As a motivational speaker Max can contribute his experience from World Cups, European Championships and Olympic Games to draw parallels on how to achieve success in the business world. The likeable doctoral candidate of biology at the University of Tübingen transitioned to triathlon from athletics where he was a strong runner, winning the Baden-Würtemberg state champion over 1500m in 2004. Two national championship titles as a triathlete and further good results have prompted Stefan to take the next step and begin his professional career as a triathlete. Working for the PR agency Brandzeichen, one of the foremost PR agencies in Düsseldorf, achtQuark was tasked with re-developing the company’s website www.brandzeichen-pr.de. The new site is full of new features – some visible, some hidden – that combine the most uptodate technical aspects with a new design. „Presenting ourselves to clients and potential clients is important. The website functions as our calling-card that stands out and gives a first impression of the company. In as such the website reflects what we are: fresh, uptodate and highly skilled“ said Tim Gerbrecht, Social Media Manager at Brandzeichen.

achtQuark developed and implemented the website, updating critical infrastructure and pushing the technical development forward, such as by using the most current HTML programming – HTML 5. Other features include an integrated newsletter-system as well as optimising the integration of social media functions, both established as well as novel, such as Google +1. The site also retains the capability of being developed further so that features such as a blog can be easily introduced.

The new Brandzeichen website combines a clear design, improved usability and SEO effectively and will hopefully be as successful as its proud owners.
